The Furrows

This snaking, cantilever, limestone staircase was installed in a self-built house in Yorkshire. The stone steps are designed to follow the shape of the building, and bridge the space between the thick curved wall and the open foyer. The thin wire balustrading (provided by others) gives an illusion of holding up the unsupported edges of the staircase treads.
